Your own sender

Send from your own
mailbox and number.

Email and WhatsApp in one request, free, to your contacts. You connect your own mailbox and your own WhatsApp number: recipients see the address and the number they already know, replies come back to you, and your sender reputation never depends on anyone else.

The context

Who is actually sending your messages?

Mailbox providers judge a message largely by who sends it: Google's sender guidelines tie deliverability to the sending domain, its authentication and its reputation.

Many sending services hand you an address on their own shared domain, or a number shared with other customers. It is quick to start, but the identity your customers see is not yours, and the reputation of that sender is pooled with everyone else using it.

UnlimitedMessaging takes the opposite approach. It is a transport, not a sender: you connect your own mailbox over IMAP/SMTP and link your own WhatsApp number by scanning a QR code. Emails leave from your address, through your own mail server, and messages leave from your number.

The result: your contacts and customers see you, replies land where you already read them, and the email channel costs nothing extra. It is available on every plan, the Free plan included, and a single request can reach the same person by email and WhatsApp at once.

What you keep

Six reasons to send from your own mailbox and number

Everything that makes a message trustworthy stays on your side. UnlimitedMessaging only carries it.

  • Your reputation stays yours

    UnlimitedMessaging never provides the sending address. Emails go out from your address through your own mail server, so deliverability and reputation are yours alone, never pooled with strangers.

  • Recipients see you

    Your customers get an email from the address they know and a WhatsApp message from the number they already saved.

  • Replies come back to you

    Answers land in your own mailbox and on your own number, and in the dashboard inbox, grouped by thread. Sent emails are copied to your Sent folder.

  • Bounces paused for 30 days

    When an address hard bounces, it is paused for 30 days for that mailbox, so you don't keep hitting a dead address and hurting your sender reputation.

  • Free on every plan

    The email channel and multi-channel sending are available on every plan, the Free plan included. No credit card needed to start.

  • One request, both channels

    A single POST /message reaches the same person by WhatsApp and by email, from your own number and your own address.

In practice

Email and WhatsApp in one request

Put a phone number and an email address in "to", list both channels, and UnlimitedMessaging sends from your own number and your own mailbox. One message is created per channel, grouped by a shared dispatchId. Each channel can override its text, HTML or subject.

POST /messageJSON
{
  "to": {
    "phone": "+33612345678",
    "email": "[email protected]"
  },
  "subject": "Your order is ready",
  "text": "Hello, your order is ready for pickup.",
  "channels": [
    {
      "channel": "WHATSAPP"
    },
    {
      "channel": "EMAIL"
    }
  ]
}
Base URL https://api.unlimitedmessaging.app, header Authorization: Bearer followed by your API key. Without accountId, your only active account on each channel is used.

The honest part

What to know before you switch

Sending from your own infrastructure gives you control, and control comes with a few things to keep in mind.

  1. Your provider's sending limits apply

    Emails go through your own mail server, so your email provider's own sending limits apply to them. Check your provider's documentation before planning large volumes.

  2. Outlook, Hotmail and Microsoft 365 are not supported yet

    They require OAuth sign-in, which is planned for later. Today you can connect Gmail with a Google app password, your own domain, or any IMAP/SMTP provider.

  3. Your reputation is in your hands

    Because the reputation is yours, so is its upkeep. Automatic bounce pausing helps, and good sending practices still matter on both channels.

  4. A small footer on the Free plan

    Free-plan emails and WhatsApp messages carry a small "Sent with UnlimitedMessaging.app" footer. The Medium and Max plans include No watermark and remove it.

  5. Shared numbers still exist

    UnlimitedMessaging also offers shared WhatsApp numbers. Linking your own number is the option we recommend when you want your customers to see you and keep full control.
